God’s Will

What is God’s Will

Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mark 3:35 NIV)

We are family!

But as he left, he promised, “I will come back if it is God’s will.” Then he set sail from Ephesus. (Acts 18:21 NIV)

How do we know? Paul leaves it up to God. (Holy Spirit)

in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you. (Romans 1:10 NIV)

Ditto!

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. (Romans 8:25-27 NIV)

“Wait patiently.” The Holy Spirit will “give us what the the will of God is!”

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God– this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is– his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2 NIV)

How to “renew your mind”? Submit to “The Spirit of Life!” THEN “you will be able to test and APPROVE what God’s PERFECT will is!”

I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. 31 Pray that I may be kept safe from the unbelievers in Judea and that the contribution I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the Lord’s people there, 32 so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. (Romans 15:30-32 NIV)

Paul waits

____________________________________________________________

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:

(It was “God’s will Paul was an Apostle!”)

So he could explain the wonderful “will of God” and when it was planned. What that will included: (holiness, blamelessness, adoption, in His wisdom “He made this known to us” IN CHRIST will be put in effect “as HE WORKS out HIS Will” WHICH is to His Glory!”

) Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will– 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment– to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:1-12 NIV)

Paul waits and states it is waiting that will make all the below happen

Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

IF we are submitting to The Spirit of Life we will be pleasing God more and more.

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.

3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified:

The First step in Baptism of The Holy Spirit. After which we would be doing as He (God the Spirit) directs.

that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 3:11-4:8 NIV)

IS AN UNBELIEVER

___________________________________________________

Remember Rom. 8:28

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit.

Remember 2Tim. 3:16 written by God The Holy Spirit!

Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.23

It was God’s will we be “set apart”, Baptized by God the Spirit, and be “taught righteousness” for the rest of our lives until we “meet Jesus.”

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:18-24 NIV)

Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. 13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 16

(Be a good witness by doing God’s will as God The Spirit shows us.)

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. 17

(submitting to Holy Spirit)

Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers,

fear God, honor the emperor. 18

Employee/employer relations.

Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God.

But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it?

Christ IS the example!

The Egyptian Christian kneeling before the Jihadist awaiting beheading

But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22 “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.” 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. (1 Peter 2:12-25 NIV)

God’s will? “To bring us to Him!!” Heaven bound!

For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:17-18 NIV)

God’s will? “commit to their FAITHFULL Creator!

So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. (1 Peter 4:19 NIV)
